Which Came First?
Do you remember waiting for your birthday when you were a kid? The anticipation was as much fun as the actual event. In the grown up version of my story, I get to share that excitement with people as they plan celebrations.
When I started planning the party for our daughter's first birthday, I had so many creative ideas! The only thing that saved me from input panic was the promise of more parties in the future.
How long have you been collecting inspiration for your big bash? My idea file started when I was in high school. I knew I would teach someday, so I collected interesting lesson plans and craft ideas. Since Daddy was a teacher, and Mama worked with Child Evangelism Fellowship and Pioneer Girls, there were a LOT of resources to choose from.
Added to the mix was my addiction to the non-fiction section of the library (Hey, don't laugh. It was before the internet, OK?) I still love books and reading, I just have a collection of my own now made up of craft, decorating, floral arranging and party planning volumes.
Maybe we can work together to get the most for your time and money. There's nothing like having someone at your side when there's too much to do and everything seems like it needs attention right now!
